REPL Crusaders won the CII Corporate Cricket League


– Defeated Purple Patriots by 10 wickets in the final
– REPL Crusaders remained unbeaten throughout the tournament with 5 wins

REPL Crusaders defeated Purple Patriots by 10 wickets in the final of the 2nd edition of the T-20 Corporate Cricket League organised by the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) today to clinch the title. The tournament was played between 12 corporate teams at the Jamia Cricket Ground, New Delhi.

Batting first in the match, the Purple Patriots team got all out for 61 runs in 16.3 overs where four players could not even open their accounts and got out zero. Himanshu was the highest scorer with 13 runs. For REPL Crusaders Abhay had an exceptional outing, taking 5 wickets for just 9 runs in his 4 overs.

In reply, the REPL Crusaders chased down the target in just 6.5 overs without losing any wickets. Shivansh Sharma displayed an all-round performance with both bat and ball. He scored 46 off just 25 balls in a resounding victory for the REPL Crusaders and also took 3 important wickets. 

Shivansh was adjudged the Man of the Series in this tournament, scoring 231 runs and taking 7 wickets. In the same tournament, Abhay Dwivedi of REPL, who took 11 wickets in 5 matches, was declared the bowler of the series
