After winning the Dare to Dream Innovation Contest 2.0, an all India theme based competition organised by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ingenious Research Solutions Pvt Ltd, a start-up founded by woman entrepreneur Dr Shivani Verma, has successfully developed an AI tool “Divya Drishti” that integrates with immutable physiological parameters such as face recognition. This innovative solution represents a significant advancement in biometric authentication technology, providing enhanced accuracy and reliability in identifying individuals.
'Divya Drishti' combines facial recognition with gait analysis to create a robust and multi-faceted authentication system. This dual approach enhances identification accuracy, reduces the risk of false positives or identity fraud and has versatile applications across diverse sectors including defence, law enforcement, corporate and public infrastructure. This AI tool has been developed under the technical guidance and mentorship of Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIR), a DRDO laboratory based in Bengaluru.
Dr. Sameer V. Kamat, Secretary, Department of Defence R&D and Chairman, DRDO congratulated the startup as well as the DRDO team on this achievement. He said that the development of 'Divya Drishti' under the Technology Development Fund (TDF) is a successful effort of DRDO in promoting startups in the defence and aerospace industry to achieve the goal of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'.
