Indian wrestler (Vinesh Phogat) defeated Cuba's Yusnelis Guzman Lopez in the final of the women's 50kg freestyle to secure her place at the Paris Olympics on Tuesday. With her win, Phogat secured a medal for India, and also became the first Indian female wrestler to win a gold medal in an Olympic final.
Both wrestlers started the bout patiently, grappling with each other, but playing slow and safe to not lose any cheap points early on. About a minute into the bout, she managed to pin the Cuban Guzman. But unlike Guzman, Phogat picked up 4 more points, pinning the Cuban at will, taking her lead to 5-0 in less than a minute.
