The Department of Consumer Affairs’ flagship digital platform e-Jagriti has been awarded the Silver Award under the category Government Process Re-engineering by Use of Technology for Digital Transformation at the National Awards for e-Governance (NAeG) 2026.

The recognition highlights e-Jagriti’s role in transforming consumer dispute resolution through a unified, technology-driven system. Introduced on January 1, 2025, the platform integrates multiple legacy consumer grievance and case-management systems into a single digital ecosystem, enabling seamless, paperless and efficient consumer justice delivery.

Powered by advanced digital technologies and AI-enabled features, e-Jagriti facilitates online filing of complaints, virtual hearings and end-to-end case management. The platform has significantly improved accessibility and transparency for consumers while reducing procedural delays.

According to the Department of Consumer Affairs, e-Jagriti has handled over 2.29 lakh consumer cases and achieved a disposal rate of more than 90 percent, demonstrating its effectiveness in expediting grievance redressal.

The National Awards for e-Governance, administered by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, recognize outstanding initiatives that leverage technology to improve governance and public service delivery. The Silver Award places e-Jagriti among the country’s leading digital governance initiatives, underscoring the government’s commitment to citizen-centric and technology-enabled reforms.
